Power Rangers Movie Full Storyline (2017 Movie)

I`m gonna explain a 2017 American superhero movie called Power Rangers.

The movie begins in the Cenozoic Era where Zordon, the red ranger, approaches the dying yellow ranger as they have lost in the war to protect Earth. She hands over the yellow coin to the leader of the team who orders the Alpha to send the meteor to Earth since he is the last man standing.

He plants the ranger coins deep into the Earth, hoping that the coins will find the next rangers who are worthy in the future. Rita, former green ranger who deceives her team, offers Zordon to team up with her and rule the world together. He refuses as the meteor hits the Earth, killing Zordon while Rita is thrown deep into the sea.

Meanwhile, the Zeo Crystal remains on the Earth. In the present, Jason Scott and his friend are trying to steal a cow and hide it in the school. Not long after, the cops arrive and the teenagers attempt to escape, but the car crashes and they are arrested. 3 weeks later, Jason, who has a GPS tracker installed on his ankle, argues with his dad who scolds him for doing silly things.

He returns to the school to attend a probation class for criminals and finds out that he has been kicked out from the school American football team, despite him being a star player there. In the class, he meets the nerd Billy Cranston and defends him from being bullied by his classmate.

He also befriends former cheerleader Kimberly Hart who decides to cut her hair after her friends kick her out of the cheerleader team. After school, Billy invites Jason to come over to his house, but he initially refuses since he has to comply with the curfew. However, Jason changes his mind when Billy tells him that he can deactivate the GPS tracker on his ankle.

Upon arrival at his house, Billy blocks the device signal and manages to disable the tracker while he asks Jason to join him to go to an old gold mine where his dad used to work there. While exploring the mine alone, Jason is surprised when he sees Kimberly swimming in a nearby lake.

He randomly asks the girl for a date with him, which she agrees to. Suddenly, Billy detonates the bombs to destroy the hill, shocking Kimberly, Jason, Trini and Zack. The hill collapses, and the five teenagers accidentally discover the colored power coins.

Each of them takes one while they hear the mine security approaching them. They initially split up, Jason and Billy escape with the car while the rest of them just run away. The boys manage to pick up the others and all of them eventually escape from the mine security.

Unfortunately, the car gets hit by a train when they attempt to outrun it. On the other side, a group of fishermen discovers Rita`s dead body and decides to keep her in the boat. Upon arrival at the dock, the detective investigates the corpse which suddenly comes into life and attacks him.

The next day, the teenagers somehow wake up at their own home without any scars and wounds on their body. They still have the coins and also become significantly stronger, causing them to break any stuff they touch since they cannot control their strength. At school, Billy now becomes more confident and manages to fight back the bully. At the cafeteria, their coins suddenly emit heat, causing the counter and the dishes to melt.

They decide to return to the mine where Zack and the weirdo Trini have been waiting for them. They discover new abilities: rock climbing and super jump. However, Billy hesitates when he attempts to jump over, causing him to fall down. Turns out that Billy falls into the water, so the rest of the team decide to follow him.

They dive deeper and eventually come across an upside-down place where they discover an alien mothership. Somehow the coins are connected to the spaceship and the red coin magically opens the door. The teenagers enter the spaceship and explore it. Not long after, they are welcomed by a talking robot named Alpha-5 who claims that he has been waiting for them for 65 million years.

The robot orders them to step into the footprints surrounding a sphere and introduces the teenagers to Zordon`s consciousness. Zordon initially underestimates the teenagers since they are too small compared to his ancient human race. He reveals to them that they are the Power Rangers

and tells them the short history of Power Rangers, whose main mission is to protect Earth and Zeo Crystal from the evil Rita. The teenagers refuse to accept their duty as superheroes, so Zordon enters their mind, picturing the destruction of Earth if they do not protect it.

Jason and the others learn that Rita will create Goldar, an enormous golden golem, to rip the Zeo Crystal from the Earth and destroy humanity. The teenagers are not interested with the mission and choose to leave the spaceship. Zoldar reveals to Jason, the red ranger, that he is the leader of the team and has the responsibility to convince the others.

After that, Jason speaks up to his team and encourages them to come back to begin the Power Rangers training. Meanwhile, Rita has fully awakened and slays the nearby fishermen ruthlessly.The following day, They return to the spaceship where Zoldar orders them to follow the rules of becoming Power Rangers: Never use the power for personal gain, never escalate a fight, and never reveal their identity to anyone.

To gain the full power of the Power Rangers, the teenagers have to morph to release the armor inside their body. However, they fail to bring the armor out and are forced to train without the armor since they only have 11 days left. The battle simulation commences and Putties, Rita`s signature army, are summoned.

However, the monsters are still way too strong for the teenagers now. Slow but sure, they train hard and eventually manage to beat the Putties without the armors, but somehow still unable to open the morphling grid. In between the training, Billy is given an additional task to locate the Zeo Crystal, which turns out to be below the Krispy Kreme building.

To inspire the Rangers, Alpha-5 shows them the Zords, an extension specially built for each of the Rangers. Zack secretly takes his Zord out for a ride and struggles to control it. He eventually crashes the Zord, almost killing his teammates with it. Jason is furious and punches Zack in the face.

While Billy attempts to separate both of them, he spontaneously morphs, but only for a second before the armor starts to disappear. This gives the teenagers hope, but Zordon is still disappointed with their slow progress, so he dismisses the new Power Rangers. Jason comes back to the ship, only to discover that Zordon tries to take advantage of the teenagers.

Jason learns that Zordon will be able to be brought back to his physical body once the Rangers morph and open the Morphling Grid. Disappointed with Zordon`s real motive, he then leaves. The teenagers decide to build a campfire at the mine and learn more about each other as Jason believes that it is the main reason they cannot morph.

They reveal to each other their background and real reasons to be put in detention, except Kimberly who refuses to share her story. On the other side, Rita arrives at a jewelry store and consumes every gold necklace available there. She also melts some gold and upgrades her shiny weapon.

A police officer tries to stop her, but she summons the real Putties and burns the entire store down. Later that night, Rita confronts Trini in her house, forcing her to give the location of the Zeo Crystal. She tries to fight back, but she is just too weak to fight her without her armor.

The Power Rangers rendezvous at the stadium where Trini informs them about Rita's surprise attack. They decide to fight her as a team after Jason reveals to them about Zordon`s real motive to free himself from the grid. They confront her at the dock where she easily knocks them down.

The Rangers are tied up and Rita urges Billy to reveal the location of the crystal or she will kill Zack. After Billy tells her the location, She cuts his rope, letting him drown until he dies. She then releases the others, but they are just too late to save him. They immediately take Billy's body to the spaceship and ask Zordon to revive him, but he can't do anything.

The Rangers mourn while they agree that they would sacrifice themselves for their teammates. Because of that, the Morphling Grid suddenly opens and Zordon decides to use his only opportunity to resurrect Billy instead of restoring himself into his physical form. Zordon reveals that there can be only one Red Ranger, the leader of the team, and it's Jason`s time.

The Rangers regain their confidence and eventually all of them manage to morph, releasing their armor and officially becoming Power Rangers. With the armor, they fight the emerging Putties and easily eliminate all of them. However, the Putties keep coming and they are overwhelmed. Zack decides to ride his Zord and shows off. Meanwhile, Rita arrives at a gold mine and creates Goldar there.

Each of the Power Rangers gets inside their own Zord and heads over to the city to prevent Rita obtaining the Zoe Crystal. Rita summons more Putties to fight the rangers while finding her way to the Krispy Kreme, a place where the Crystal is being stored. After eliminating all the Putties, The Rangers fight Goldar, but the golem manages to overpower all of them.

Jason, in his Red Ranger form, attempts to help his dad who is stuck in his crashed car. Kimberly teams up with Billy and successfully injures Rita. The Putties collapse, but only for a very short moment as Goldar cures her wounds. The Zords line up to prevent Zoldar from moving nearer to the Crystal. However, they are no match for the golem as it pushes the Rangers into a fiery pit.

Right after they fall into the pit, The Rangers manage to combine their Zords, transforming them into Megazord. Rita merges with Zoldar and the fight between two enormous creatures ensue. They initially struggle to control the Megazord since each of them is responsible to control a specific part of the Megazord. But, they eventually synchronize and manage to knock Goldar down. Using the swords, they finally eliminate the golden golem.

Rita shows up and refuses to surrender, claiming that others will come for the crystal and humanity will eventually lose. Megazord smacks Rita out of Earth where she immediately becomes frozen. The Power Rangers become viral and are praised as heroes and the teenagers return to their normal life, without revealing their identity as Power Rangers.
